Raats Family Wines is joining us on Bree for
a one-night-only pairing dinner at Tannin.

Lukas van Loggerenberg is known for low-intervention, site-specific wines that have built a serious following for good reason. For this Monday masterclass, we’ll be tasting 6 wines, paired with snacks by Chef Blaine and the Tannin kitchen.
Lukas will talk us through the wines, the vineyards and the thinking behind each bottle, giving you a proper look at why these wines have become such a favourite among people who really love South African wine.

Brookdale is joining us on Bree for a Wednesday night worth leaving the house for.

Based in Paarl, Brookdale is known for doing things a little differently, from old vine Chenin to field blends made with varieties you don’t see every day. Which is exactly why we’re excited to pour them at Tannin.
We’ll be serving five Brookdale wines alongside a once-off five-course menu from Chef Blaine, with serious bottles, fabulous food and the kind of midweek energy we could all use a little more of.

Monday nights are looking a lot better
with Scions of Sinai on the table.

Led by Bernhard Bredell, Scions of Sinai is all about old vines, dry-farmed bush vines and wines that speak clearly of the Lower Helderberg. It’s thoughtful stuff, but this won’t feel like homework.

For this one, Premier Cru is taking over
the glasses at Tannin.
They’re known for sourcing exclusive Champagne and fine wines, with a focus on bottles you won’t always find on the usual lists. So, naturally, we’re giving them a table, a five-course menu from Chef Blaine and a very good reason to make Wednesday night plans.
Expect interesting wines, good food and a few “wait, what are we drinking?” moments along the way.

Started by John and Tasha Seccombe, Thorne & Daughters has built a name for thoughtful Cape wines that feel personal, expressive and properly rooted in where they come from.

Atlas Swift is joining us for a Monday masterclass that travels a little further than your usual tasting.

Created by Martin and Welma Smith, Atlas Swift is a personal project built around vineyards from different South African regions, with a strong focus on place, precision and the story behind each bottle.
We’ll be tasting a guided line-up of Atlas Swift wines, paired with snacks by Chef Blaine and his team. Martin and Welma will take us through the wines, where they come from and how each vineyard brings something different to the glass.
It’s a Monday evening for people who like discovering something new, without having to sit through anything too serious to enjoy it.

Wine DinnerS with Vondeling
Vondeling is heading in from the Voor-Paardeberg for a wine dinner at Tannin.
They’re known for wines with a real sense of place, with some of their flagship bottles named after rare fynbos found on the Paardeberg mountain. So yes, there’s a little bit of Cape personality in the glass.
Chef Blaine will be serving a once-off five-course menu alongside a selection of Vondeling wines for the night. Expect a relaxed midweek dinner with generous plates, good bottles and the sort of table you’ll want to settle into for a while.

Bubbles and big reds. That’s the idea.
Genevieve MCC and Luddite are joining us for a one-night-only dinner, bringing a bit of Bot River character to Bree. Genevieve is all about Cap Classique, while Luddite has built a reputation for wines with personality, so this should be a very good night around the table with incredible people. .

the Northern Cape to Bree.

Based on the banks of the Orange River near Prieska, Lowerland is a regenerative farm making small-batch wines from a place you don’t see on every wine list. That alone makes this one worth paying attention to.
We’ll be tasting a guided line-up of Lowerland wines, paired with snacks by Chef Blaine and the Tannin kitchen. The tasting will take us through the wines, the farm and what makes this project such an interesting one to follow.

They’re a small producer known for making interesting, expressive wines without taking themselves too seriously, which feels very much like our kind of evening.
